If you are Romanian or Bulgarian, we operate a SAWS (Seasonal Agricultural Workers Scheme) on behalf of the Home Office. SAWS is a short-term immigration category. This allows you to come to the UK and work as a seasonal agricultural worker you for a maximum of six months.
To qualify to work in the United Kingdom under the SAWS you must:
- be either a Romanian or Bulgarian national; and
- be over 18 years of age;
If you are successful in your application to the SAWS programme you will be issued with a work permit from Barway Services Ltd on arrival to the site. You do not need permission to travel to the UK. This work permit gives you permission to work only for Barway Services Ltd as a seasonal worker for a maximum of six months. The time period will be clearly marked on your work permit. There will be no charge for your work permit.
